Stockton ? Jenolan ? Bridal track ?

Any ideas ?

I generally have the two weeks after christmas off as well, generally I go sailing but a bit of 4wding with the jeep would be good as well.

Lets get some ideas together and plan out some trips....here is some ideas:

1. Stockton (permit required)
2. Wattigans
3. Orimbah
4. Yalwal
5. Lithgow
6. Menai (need to have done a clean up in the last 12 months)

I would not mind doing an over night trip (or two). There was a run through the snowy in last months 4wd action magazine that Roothy did in the red 40 series. My old man is interested in doing the run, with some fishing at the cabin at the half way trip......3 day trip mayby with an day stop over to fish at the cabin?

Oh, and I forgot Boat Harbour at Kurnell. Permit required ($19 per day or $95 per season) Good for a day on the beach.

There is also Appin/Picton as well.

Anyone else got any ideas for trips?

Looks like we have some interest :)

Well I am up for a day two or three away. Anywhere is good for me, but keep in mind I run a stock KJ, with wide BFG T/A's.

So any preferences on where ?

Here's an idea for you. I will be down at my folks place in Tumut for Christmas. There are some interesting drives around the North end of Kosciuszko Nat Park that I know - and maps are easy. It would be easy to organise one day or multi day drives with overnight camping or whatever.

The trails I know are not too demanding (although I haven't had a decent explore in a couple of years) so stock would be just fine. My KJ has only had the OME lift, so it is pretty stock too.

Tumut is a bit further out of Sydney though - 4 hours each way.

Dave.
