Well it was almost an Australia day trip ;) It was so hot on Friday and Saturday that other than Dutchie all of SJC headed home on Sunday morning, one day early. In saying that it was still a great trip with a bit of fun on the property, with a bit more exploring etc there could be some great tracks in there. Anyway, for those that haven't been here's a few pics to give you an idea of what to expect.

The store at Bylong, this is where we turn off the sealed road, across from here is also a p[ay shower block, nothing else but it has the essential with food, fuel, ATM, Showers and toilets. They also have air if you want to air up here.

The beginning of the road into camp, a lot of it is gazetted road and still on Tom Tom but closer to camp it's topo maps only.

Couple of small dry creek crossing etc.

Playing, Dutchie had a horrible time here after getting bogged and water all through the JK and grass in a tyre bead as well as damage to the front plastic skid. All fixable but messy :( Maybe we'll see some pics of that later as I had her camera at the time ;)

All in all a fun weekend just need to go when it's cooler to really appreciate it properly.

Cheers

It was incredible hot 41c on Friday 45c Saturday with gale force wind for about1/2hr. The wind blew Steve F shade house through the campsite like a giant beach ball complete with chairs and baby change table still inside.

The decision was made at breakfast Sunday to call it quits rather than face another day of searing temperatures.

Despite the weather I think those members who saw the place for the first time were impressed by what is there and the potential for further track development.
