Hi Folks,
There has been a minor change to book-in proceedure for Menai. Names & Rego's are no longer required for booking in on Clean-up days, just the number of vehicles attending from each club ( but names & Rego's are still required for club trips to Menai ). I have pre-booked up to 15 Jeeps to attend on Sunday at Menai for this clean-up. So no more " I missed the cut-off date" excuses for not attending. Post up your intent to attend.
Guest are welcome to attend on the day. They either must be a member of another 4wd club affilated with the 4wd Assocc. or intend to become a member of the SJC 8)....

why do you have to be a member of a club if you come as a guest

stevet
23-03-09, 08:52 PM
You will need to be a member of a 4wd club affiliated with the 4wd Assoc. to drive the tracks at Menai for clubs runs. Having guests for the clean-up days are to encourage people to attend so they can see/taste 4wding at a "legal" venue in Sydney and join a 4wd club of your choice etc rather then going there uninvited and create problems for the rest of us ::). You can not attend normal "official" club runs there as a guest other then when a member of another club comes with us but they still would have to completed all attendence requirements prior to the club run there with there own club or ours. We also have some limited liability insurance as a club on club runs as well...

I'm a bit confused now... ???
Can I bring a friend around to Menai this coming Sunday? He's not a member of any 4wd club and just wants to come around to see how it's like.

As many passengers as you can carry, no problems attending either the clean-ups or club runs there. Friends/guests coming in their own vehicle's can attend a clean-up but not attend club runs there eg night runs, unless they are club members of another 4wd club associated with the 4wd Assoc. etc etc...

Maggie

This all sounds a bit confusing .. I think the key words are passengers or vehicles.

Reg and I intend to attend the clean up and will have two friends as passengers.

I believe if you wish to invite another vehicle as a guest, that is OK for this particular run as it is a legitimate 4WD assoc. clean up day, and as such a demo of what is available if you join a 4Wd CLUB.

Please correct me if I have not interpreted this correctly/

I don't know about Spud, but I do know it turned into a night run after Wolfe developed an issue with his brake caliper halfway along Track 8!

Ouch!!! And after I tore his winch up!
And the wife surprised me when she laughed at my "new" door modifications!

Didn't use the Forum gallery as they were quite a few pics and it was going to take me a while.
