This is probably the best day out 4wd event to attend close to Sydney CBD
The SJC tends to do very well here too :D
Come and show your support for the competitors flying the Jeep flag(from Sydney and interstate) ... so get the missus to drive(...home) and tap me on the shoulder for a beer or three (or five) 8)

See you all there

PS: a few of us will be staying/camping the saturday night to imerse yourselves in the festivities  ... watch this space for further details

Hi Guys,

I would like to try my newly installed winch in this trip, any good spot in the trip to do that?
Also for sure I need a really good & patient teacher (maybe teachers) on winching too, anyone want to do this for free or couple beers? Thanks in advance.

Hunter, this is a competition event. We are all going along to spectate to support a few members competing. So not really gonna be a chance to winch unless you take some severe short cuts on the way there or back.

sir_camel
26-11-04, 11:46 AM
I have a feeling i might have to pull out of coming along for this. 50/50 now. Sux

I'm not sure if mobile phones work there, so I'll always try to keep a radio on me or near me that will be on UHF 23. So use that channel if you'd like to find us :)

And the results were ... awesome!

SJC takes out first club ... wooooohoooo! :D
Coops and Maddog take out 2nd team :D
Maddog gets prize for wheel stand 8O
Lots of trophies for the trophy cabinet!
Soooo much cheering for the jeeps. The crowd was pretty hot and dusty and not as loud as normal but they perked up when the jeeps where on the track.

It was a great day for the SJC boys and it was really great to see so many club members there .. but more people need club shirts! (you know we have lots in stock ..hint hint ;) )

I am soooooo bummed at not being able to go that day.

Damn brother in law decided to get engaged that day and have a party.......

..... have to say the party was pretty good. Still no match for a good dose of 4-wheelin' fun.

Why wait, new shirts won't get bought till the old ones sell out I'm guessing. And that way you'll have a pice of history if there is a new logo.

Tell me about it  :(

I love black shirts, but not on a day like that. The other guys had the right idea wearing the older grey shirts.

on another note

it may be a good idea to contact DC to see if they'll supply/subsidise SJC with a pop-up marquee for future comps  ....

given that we are flying the Jeep flag :D , and kickin' some arse along the way
that , and it'll stop us melting and also give us a spot for meeting point and the club bbq at events 8)
