Hello Jeep Dudes,
I drive a KJ 2006 Cherokee Renegade petrol version.
Today, my interior lights came on for absolutely no reason, and the lights stayed on while I was driving.
I stopped several times. I checked all the doors, the tail gate, the hood, the switch, the redio... every thing... and found nothing was amiss.
I called Jeep in Melbourne, and they told me to take the fuse out, which I did.
This disabled my remote locking device (key) and the radio.
I drove down to Kiama from Sydney like this, and when I arrived an hour and a half later, I put the fuse back in, and the problem was fixed. This sorted the lights out and the remote.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I don't believe this should happen that I have to take the fuse out to fix the problem.
If anyone has better advice than that of Jeep, I would appreciate it.

I had this problem, on my 97 XJ when i was camping the lights just would not turn off, so i took the bulbs out, then about 2 weeks later i decided to put them back in and it worked :-\

So im not really sure why it did that, but yes it has happened to me aswell.

Don't know about the KJ, but on the XJ the interior lights are controled by turning the headlight knob.
