Hi Marcus
I have a 07 JK manual 6 speed - it came with 3.21's according to the jeep factory build sheet I got from the dealer (very tall gears - great economy i got 10L/100 sometimes but mostly 11-12L/100 and mine is Petrol) I changed to 4.56's a few weeks ago and my fuel economy went to 15L/100 - im a bit of a lead foot! LoL

with my old gears the 3.21's 6th gear on 33's MTZ was 2000rpm and now with 4.56's 6th gear is 2800 - thats probably a little high for a diesel - you should consider 4.1's - sorry the phot is blurred
if you plan on 35's or larger then maybe 4.56's - but if are planning on keeping the 33's then 3.73 or 4.1's - dont get me wrong - i absolutely love the 4.56's on my petrol the extra grunt and pickup is awesome!
good luck with making your decision - cheers Hunty

Most people will say that 4.56's are the best gears to run 33's, Good for offroad.

Hmmmm Yes - I do need fuel - and a camera that will take sharp pics @ 110kmh LoL - (I just grabbed my wifes Iphone)
I ve been experimenting and this morning driving to work (on the freeway and through the suburbs) i didnt go over 105kph - just 10 - 15kph slower dropped my fuel consumption down from 15.5 to 12.2L/100 - OK it took 2 - 5 min longer to get to work - but i think the savings (especially as i only use Caltex 98) are worth it!
cheers Hunty

i find that if i sit on 80 or 90 km/h i save a heap more juice..... have seen my ave eco go down to as low as 8.9l/100 (JK 2 door on 35's) thats with no traffic, flat road though
