Not aware of any issue's..... please correct if mistaken... But enjoy the plates......:).....Quinged at the stupid costs involved--- Was looking at doing the same a few years back BUT $500.00 to start then $ 500.00 per year there after..:o.. I forgot about it and went and got something for the Jeep instead that was desired...............

On the phone to the RTA myself right now :)
Edit - ok the RTA is posting me out a copy of the club appication letter.
I'll bring it to the next meeting.

For anyone interested - 2 quick links:
Firstly the RTA Historic Rego info PDF (http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/downloads/vehiclesheet/historic_vehicle_clubs_policy.pdf).
Secondly the RTA Historic Rego Application form (http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/publicationsstatisticsforms/downloads/45070939.pdf) (individual not club).

For the cost benefits alone I am considering seeing if I could get my Ute on Historic Rego - But I'd need a period engine (ie couldn't use my planned AMC360) and I am seeking clarification about upgrade to brakes (aka diff swap ;)).

Pehaps CLub based Rego, SJC then your member #, mine would be SJC190

Hmm not sure I'd be prepared to pat the annual fees they charge these days....But then again SJC006 isn't available anyhow....

I was more interested in the conditional rego as in historic or hot rod
thanks for the links Mr Wooders

Got the paperwork today - but only had a breif read then left it on my desk.
The main requirements for the club are min 5 financial members (done), then there needs to be a minimum of 5 Historic Regos within the first 12months of being granted status. There are some small admin requirements but not much.
So we need 5x 30+ stock Jeeps..... Anyone thinking about it speak up now :)

Yeah don't think my CJ6 will pass either. Actually the willys truck will struggle to pass under the current build plan....but I'm thinking about it....

Just need a few members to buy rigs like this FSJ Chero (http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=9416659&__Qpb=true&Cr=7&__Ns=pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_PriceSort_Decimal |1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&keywords=&YearToShort=1662&__N=1216%201247%201252%201282%204294965086%20%2016 62&SearchAction=N&silo=1011&seot=1&__Nne=15&trecs=8&__sid=12C11FB433E1) ...Perfect for historic rego.... ;)
