Hi guys,
I have a 2010 Cherokee Sport that I want to get lifted. Does anyone know who does this or where I could get a lift kit from?
Also, suggestions on how high I should lift it? ???
Am also in the market for some black steel wheels + dirt tires if anyone has any suggestions.

We just picked up a set of black steelies from Wooders for our Wrangler - can't wait to get Tyres on them :-)

Good to hear - they'll look good on your Wrangler!
I'm going to keep my stock rims for city driving (which I do a lot of working in the CBD) but I think my black Cherokee would look great with them too + a little lift.

speak to wooders..... he can get anything for jeeps in....if he cant, then its probably not worth having......as for lift height, work out what tires you want to run, what sort of wheeling you want to do etc and go from there.......rememebr to factor EVERYTHING into it (carpark height at work)etc........

Yeah carpark is the most important height restriction haha. Parking anything bigger than a hatch near work is impossible.
To be honest, the more I think about it, the more I'm happy to start on just wheels/tires and then do lift later. Seems easier.
Might give Wooders a bell this week and have a chat.

That's a KK model right? Give CRDSTU a call (Murchison Products). CRDSTU has a range of lift kits for KJs, KK, Grands etc. Here is a link to his website:

He uses special King Springs that he has made for these models, and usually Old Man Emu shocks. Most of his stuff can be installed by the owner but in the case of a KK front strut tear down and spring change someone like Pedders can do that for you.

Steel rim's regardless -- Kings - Are the one's to get...... Aussie owned/made and cheaper as well, has a better finish to rim itself...... Was pointed out to me by other's, unaware that I was sort of there the last comment anyway at least, but do agree after a later self comparo peek...........LOL...... Confess to having King steel rim's myself...........Bias?..........LOL.........
As for tyres, really want you want(dream off anyway)/need/wallet etc.............. as to what you will pick.......Choices??................... Wooder's would be a very good start on the topic........................

Look a KK is a very different vehicle to a TJ, XJ or JK, which is really where Wooders has his focus. Lifting a new model IFS Jeep has different issues and requirements to those of a SFA Jeep. It is a fact that there is little in the way of aftermarket equipment for the KK, some of this is because they are new and some of this is due to market demand or lack there of, from the buyers. There are some real restrictions on tyre sizes on the KK due to the large front air dam/bumper and its tyre clearance, and there is currently no front bar for these vehicles (other than a few people that have adapted the KJ TJM bar to fit the KK - and TJM do not make those any longer).

If your looking for a workshop that will do the lift for you, and don't want to get involved in this yourself, then ARB and TJM are the obvious choices but be prepared to get only a 40mm lift from them. If you want to go up to 75mm then Murchison Products is the only organisation that I know of (in Australia) that does that. In the USA, JBA does have Coil Over kits for KK which will allow adjustable lift height, but you will find the cost higher than dealing with Stu.

You might find the AJOR KK forum a good source of information on what can and can't be done to a KK.

id still be having a chat to wooders..... he can point out the pros and cons of ALL things jeep, without pushing a sale onto you.......hence i try and buy from him whenever i can...... the amount of times i have gone into his shop wanting to buy something and being talked out of it buy wooders for whatever reason is amazing........... the guy looses a sale but is willing to share his knowledge and give an un biased opinion to get the most for his customers.....cant get much better then tahat in my opinion...

Yes agree, Wooders is a great place start at. May not have much/any KK products yet, but he will/does freely point you in the right direction at times to his own detterment regarding sales,but given time/demand who know's?............ Like I said, "A Great place to Start at".............. Stephen T.
