Front driveshaft: lateral play

As the title says i have some side to side/ up-down play in the front drive shaft of the TJ when you push against it in the slip joint area. At the moment it is not noticable when driving (no vibrations) but would like to get it sorted sooner rather than later.

The front uni is fine so im guessing the slip joint needs attention.

Just wondering what my options are and if there are any heavy duty alternatives.

You can get the slip joint rebuilt but when I looked into the cost its about the same as a new shaft from Wooders as they need to cut it out and put in a new one. I'm on my third shaft (including the original) and just grab them from the wreckers (plenty of XJ's around so not too big a deal and the last was only $50 for a great one). Now I have a spare I'll probably look into getting the slip joint replaced etc and get the shaft lengthened slightly when my next one is on its way out or see what Wooders has in the way of a custom one.
