Club T-Shirts

It was brought up at the last meeting about taking some pride in the club by wearing the club t-shirt.

For those that have none and for those new to the club, can this be addressed with another order of shirts etc?

It would be really good for the Jeep Jamboree as well.

I'm after 2.

Stuart, can't open the photo. If you are contemplating the grey shirt with black sleeves, Maggie looked into this design when she was on the committee, and found the cost of setting up the screening for the back to be exhorbitant. The committee at the time decided the cost per unit to be prohibitive, thats how we ended up with the current black shirt.
I thought the aim of a Club shirt was so that we all had the same shirt and maintained uniformity on trips which is not going to happen if it keeps getting changed.

Personally I dont think we really need to have a 'uniform' as such on club trips, we all drive the same brand of vehicle, unlike most clubs and maybe that is enough? I quite like the idea of the shirt changing occasionally, more reason to buy a new one. The one Stuart is talking about is an additional design we had way back, it was a limited run of shirts and was available along with the standard shirt (I think)

After all that though the next run of club shirts will be the same as the last run as there's no need to change them just yet :)

Plenty enough steve, we all drive jeeps thats our uniformity :)
Happy for them to be the same (old) design and changing it up every now and then, keeps things interesting.
Argh i want a shirt, but shirt sizing annoys me..... i can be a medium or large depending on brand :S

As for wearing the club shirt on trips my opinion for what its worth, is if you want to wear it great, if you dont then dont.

I actually like wearing the club shirt on trips. It makes me feel special, wanted, and part of a group.
It's also quicker to get ready in the morning , as I don't have to decide what I'm wearing...;)
Must be ok as my 13 year old wants one too. And we all know what teenagers are like! Oh pink was the request lol

No one is saying not too, however I've liked this shirt for a while and feel it is worth the revival. I'm not suggesting it replace the the club shirt but would be interested to see if anyone else is interested.

I like the idea of a BIG SJC logo on the back. Similar to the old gray and black polo's but in a t-shirt. Just the silver circle and red star with the TJ in the middle. Same as we have on all our stickers etc. Then maybe Sydney Jeep Club across the chest??

should be able to get the t-shirts in different colours etc but with the same design we would still look uniform if you know what I mean.. Just my 2c either way. I'll be happy with whatever :)

An update

I have made enquiries for getting some more club polo shirts. The same as the black ones last ordered. !!!

I will advise once I hear the price conditions etc after which we will ask for orders sizes etc.
If Steve F is kind enough he may provide a link via paypal on the web site, to ease ordering. I propose that once orders are confirmed by members, they can be collected at next club meeting. Hopefully August meeting.

I have received a reply regarding the Club shirts. Polo Shirt – AU3000 – Mens – Black + Sydney Jeep Club logo (1col A4 back) + Badge Affix
(You can specify women's sizes).

We need to order a minimum of 50 shirts.

Cost is "about" $25-$29 each. (I'll confirm with committee)

I suggest that if you are interested, that you post up how many shirts and sizes you need. Include your logon ID and name please

To ensure we meet the target of 50 shirts, we need to have all orders no later than 20 July 2012 (or earlier if we meet target).

Hopefully Steve F can place a paypal order set up on the web site to ease the process.

So please support your club and place you order as soon as possible
