Time -- Departure @ 9am from Richmond Maccas
Grade -- C+ possibly harder

We will be driving to Wolgan Rd and air down at the start of Beecroft. Once we are through Beecroft, onto Blackfellows and back down to Wolgan Rd. There is also a servo at the start of Wolgan Rd so easier to fill up and get petrol.

Requirements -- Recovery points Front/Rear, recovery gear, radio, food/drink of choice, camera.
I also have 1 spare handheld.
This run is limited to 10+ vehicles including leader.
Further info contact Tam Nguyen - 0416 461 207

Basically an exploration mission going up the Beecroft Fire Trail and the Blackfellows Hand trail (I think that is what it is called)
Don't know what to expect of these tracks since the last time.

Also noticed that trees have been cut down to block pathways so If someone could please bring a chainsaw... :smile-new: just in case

Why have trees been cut down to block paths? Little concerned about removing them depending on the reason they were put there and by who. Also be carefull carrying a chainsaw I'm not sure thay are allowed in that area as you are close to or possibly in Wollemi National Park.

I'm sure he was only joking Steve, because as you well know the Sydney Jeep Club could not support actions against our tread lightly policy.

Hey its Xandros son.....what was it like last time you went?

It was great last time I went down the beecroft track. It's going up and through the blackfellows I reckon will be a little harder.
As for trees, that area is classed as state forest. Have noticed that people have been cutting trees blocking paths for no reason what so ever.
I'm only trying to keep the track clear of any obstacle or trash.

Haven't actually been down blackfellow yet so its an exploration mission for me on that track.

Don't worry. I still remember to tread lightly :encouragement:

I should have noted it down but this isn't exactly zigzag... more like Lisdale in Newnes State Forest. :smile-new:

That was a great day. Everyone did really really well that day. We veered off track a little and did some exploring after we went through beecroft track. Eventually found the lost city... Estimated time to go through beecroft is 3 hours with 10 vehicles I reckon. Thought it might have taken longer but everyone did really well going through. I'll do another reece soonish to explore some more tracks going off beecroft near the top following the powerlines.

Tam, thanks for the trip. It was well planned and executed. We had a great bunch of guys with u,s and my wife is now a little dissapointed that she did not come after hearing that a number of ladies turned up for the trip also. Top of the class for Meghan (sorry, not sure which spelling to use) who was out there showing Steve how to wheel the tracks. I enjoyed the lot of it, and I have to thank the team for getting me out of the hole quickly. Barry for risking life and limb (not to get his toes wet) to secure the strap to the front of my bar and Tam for dragging me out once connected. Thank Jeep for supplying holes in the floor for emptying all that water (read mud). The carpets are still in the garage drying befor I put them back in. I did a complete overhaul in the braking components on Sunday, a timely reminder that if I had not done so, I would no longer have any pads left. I look forward to seeing you guys back on the next trip. Jas

Thanks Tam for a great day out with a fine group of people. Its surprising just how far these Jeeps can go in stock form but having seen the modified ones just amble along the tracks I'm off to get some fresh meat (new tyres) and maybe some extra altitude!(lift).
