Guys/Girls,

Whats the recommended tyre pressure for running on Sand? I have friend up in NewCastle that wants me to take him over to Stockton Beach. I haven't been there in ages..

I would normally drop them down 15-18psi but it also depends on your tyres and the sand your driving in

Below is a link that i found helpful when driving in sand (an old one but still good)

depends on the sand..... when really soft i go down to about 12 but usually you can get away with 16-18....... just remember to disable you traction control.... there was a club member a while ago who's car caught fire and unfortunatly burnt to a crisp..... just be careful, the auto can get quite hot in the jk.... if it feels like its struggling, drop the pressure, if it stil struggles, go home...... you dont wanna ruin your new jeep

most of all though....enjoy

The beach received signicant damage recently, you can only drive on the beach front and only at low tide at the moment - dunes are closed :(
