Hi, I recently bought a 2011 Jeep Patriot Sport and I am hoping to upgrade my tyres. They are currently running the stock 215s and don't know how big they can go. Any suggestions?

Hi Vincent,

Welcome to the forum mate. Do you do much off roading and do you actually need more clearance. If not stick with stock size. Bigger and wider tyres will definitely put more load on your drive train, power steering, bearings etc. Which will eventually lead to more fuel consumption and premature part failures.....

Just my 2 cents as I don't believe in changing things just for the sake of if.....

Hi Mani,

Thanks for the advice. To be honest I was planning on upgrading to give my patriot a meaner look and wider stance. I recently downgraded from my wrangler and had 285s. I definitely miss the height and look of the wrangler and want to try and make the patriot a meaner car.

I will probably just leave them stock, but I was wondering if there were any suggestions on modifications for a patriot? There is very limited information on upgrades for patriots..

Thanks,

Vince

Well, I've since refined the search and maybe there's something after all.

Whenever I say that I am the boss I get a pack of noodles and a can of tuna in my lunch bag.... And I understand the subtle message that who is the boss..... ;) ;) .....

BTW nice patriot there.... Looks bloody tough.... You got something to model your car on Vince.....

Here's some info Vince...

Lots of companies make nudge bars, but not always for all vehicles. Couple of suggestions (depending on where you live), try your local ARB or TJM dealer. Otherwise I have had a couple of East Coast Bullbars (ECB) nudge bars on Subarus, fitted by Town & Country 4wd at Beverly Hills. Was happy with those products!

Good luck,
Dave
