Hey Jeepers,
Just about to pick up my '03 TJ Wrangler. Bit of a possibly stupid question (plenty of those to come so you are warned). Anyone know approx what 12 month rego will cost?
Thanks,!

Welcome Neil,
Stamp duty will be added to the price for first rego, depends on the price you declare... And number plates if needed or wanted by you as well....... Blue slipping( interstate rego change) was $55.00 for me plus parts etc to get through the inspection as I knew it would................ Insurance for $13,000.00 cover with Shannon's = $85.00 per month...... The "bug" can bite hard & early at times.:hopelessness:..:smile-new:.Lol.... Once again welcome, see you on the tracks soon.............. Stephen.

I paid $80 odd for blue slip, then whatever green slip and rego was, but don't recall paying stamp duty

Everyone pays stamp duty when you first buy/register a car, new or used... X amount per $1000.00 of vehicles value... No stamp duty if you already own the car, registered in your name already and are just transferring the rego over eg, interstate transfer's...... One of the only three given's in life.... Birth, taxes and death.............

Yep, I understand how it works, but as I mentioned I don't recall paying it. Maybe I did... I was more nervous about getting the blue slip since it was very modified with a second fuel tank and all!!!!
