Hi Everyone!

Just checking if anyone else with this model JK has received a letter for "Safety Recall Campaign S40" and if so gotten the replacement clock spring.

If anyone has had good experience with a particular Jeep dealer on this recall or could recommend one that would be great.

Nothing worse than getting a warranty job done and getting a rush job with fouled up interior panels, etc.

We've had the notice too. Couldnt recomend Parramatta Motor Group, very dissatisfied. Five Dock not really ant better. I am now refusing to put my Jeep back in the hands of Fiat service technicians wherever I can. A proper off road Jeep specialist will take over.

Of cause there is no option for a recall. Probably will book in for Five Dock for it.

Hey guys, Sutton's Jeep at Rosebery just completed some warranty work for me and did the clock spring without me even getting the recall letter along with a new clutch as it was making squeaking noises everytime it was engaged.I thought it was pretty good to get a new clutch as my Jeep runs out of warranty in 3 months. I have been happy with them as this is my second JK, I dont use them for servicing however all my warranty issues have been repaired no questions asked.

I had some warranty work done at Peter Warren Warwick Farm before the recall. They seemed to do a reasonable job.

I get Peter Warren to do my recall warranty repairs but go to another mechanic to do all servicing and other works. Dealers are far too expensive!!!

Took ours to Sutton's City. Well organized and free car wash, but afterwards the service desk couldn't tell me whether it was just inspected or replaced.

Thanks for the responses guys, might get in touch with Suttons at Rosebery as they're not too far from work.
Tynans in the Shire is my closest but haven't heard the greatest stories of their service department.

Jeep Scuderia Veloce Motors (SVM) in Chatswood are great, never had an issue with them and they are focused on Jeeps!

The Jeep is back from it's clock spring recall and so far so good :smile-new:

Going back next week for a front-passenger side axle seal leak before the warranty expires.

Hopefully I don't have a repeat occurrence of the road rage incident I just encountered on my return trip, never had someone get out of their car to provide feedback of my safe driving record before!

So after leaving the Jeep with the guys at Suttons Rosebery it has come back with shiny new front axles and isn't making that annoying tailgate clunk sound anymore.
Hard to tell if there was something more than just axle seals that was causing the problem or complications when replacing the seal.
Either way, shiny new axles installed shortly before the warranty expired is great :)

I live down Camden way and have been using MacArthur Jeep for all servicing for the JK and Grand Cherokee for the last 4 years .... excellent service can't fault them
