Late notice I know. We're celebrating our anniversary "OK Kerry what do you want most...". Irk! A winter run this weekend. Saturday 17-6-17. We are thinking:-
x Rain expected so C+ to B trails - I had been thinking pipeline, but may be not (we will back off difficulty for the wet, but as usual our target is the B side of C+)
x Meet zigzag 9:30
x Probs powerline, Ranger Bob and his son
x Target to be out and airing up early 4:00 pm latest (target)

I'll tidy this thread up tomorrow.

RQTs: min 2" lift, full recovery kit, MTs. I know it's not popular but locking diffs preferred - we'd like to NOT chop up wet tracks much.

See you there Stu. Expect rain.

We will adapt the trails we look to based on conditions.

Hi guys, I've not been to Zigzag before is there a road I could reference on GPS?

Hi Stuart. Change of plan, we'll meet you at Richmond maccas at 8am and go in convoy from there. Bit easier that way. See you then, Kerry. 0411446035

Great day for anniversary celebrations. :smile-new:

We took Stu and Warren through much of the stuff we have learned in the Newnes forest from, oh I dont know, Manni, Andy, Andrew, Brian oh and plenty of others. Target B grade - hell anyone reading this knows Kerry and myself and our target challenges.

B grade on the central plateau, with greasy, slippy conditions. Wahey! A win! It appears that Stuart is still talking to us!!

So name these trails in greasy weather: Powerlines (1), Powerlines (2) heading to Pipeline, THE Powerlines incl Ranger Bob, Moon Rock (or skirting it), Lost City, Son of Bob, Maiyingu Maru (Blackfellows Hand). Ta Dah.

And Spanish Steps!

Its amazing how the trails have changed. I'm not at all sure that the clubs "go to" lines at the steps are right now.

Anyway, great day. Really glad I told Kerry before we got there - "Hey, just dont tell Stu how hard this shit is. He might not notice".

Job's a good'un. Well done Stu, some of the hardest stuff we know in trying conditions. Good fun, eh?!

btw: Happy anniversary Kerry. You asked. You got.

Sounds like a great day out, some pretty iconic tracks in that line up. Been a while since I've been to Zig Zag. Saturdays are difficult for me at the moment otherwise I would have been there.
