We will be going!

Speaking to alot of people on the weekend and it looks like theres a fair few from other clubs going. It would be a good chance to have a play on the more restricted areas you never get to see :)

I'll be there in the Jee-Q and Ann might be driving the super-stock-modified class Zookie hopefully..

Depending what the 4WD association people want us to do, I've found out about a new area I'd like to go visit with some pretty good rocks

Ouch!!!!

Some pics of Ben's carnage from Menai shortly, nothing to bad but not the best place to do it. Anyway, update as soon as I finish up loading the pics ;)

Ok, he got this far.

Notice the passenger rear is off the ground

Then busted some crucial bolts with all the weight on thr front left and the rear off the groud the lack of steering was a problem along with the threat of the front wheel just coming off.

The best part of an hour later and we had it winched out thanks to Brad and his winch and numerous rock packers etc.

Does this zook have crawler gears

Compare how big the zook is next to the Mt Franklin water bottle. About 2 times as big. hehehe

Yea i feel the pain too. I bent an axle up at the Watagans during the day yesterday too.

We haven't been all that axle friendly lately!

Thanks Brad and the rest that helped recover me back to flat ground yesterday :)

I spent an exciting day sitting in that spot listening to trail bikes in the distance. Got home at 10pm last night.

The Suburban guys are looking at it today, but we won't know the extent of damage until they pull it apart. What happened was the bolts holding the steering arm in sheered, which tore out the top kingpin. No so much of a problem without steering, but the fact the swivel hub was only held on by one kingpin and looked like it was going to fall off at any moment was a bit of a concern. Hopefully the knuckle on the diff hasn't been damaged.

It was about that time as I was working on The Wave that I thought about you guy's.

Must have been an exciting afternoon  waiting around. Would have stayed and played longer but had things I needed to do.
