Hi, the run is a bit of both. The more "play-time" there is , the longer it goes, but all going well :P we should be out by 10.00p.m.. The idea for the Sunday run is so there is no conflict with other SJC events and for those who can not make the other Sat/Friday Arvo/night drives each month and clean-up dates. :D

Well, I'm back early. Snapped my front right CV again on a little, easy climb...

Was that the new one or was the stocker still in there? Was it the same sort of thing as last time? Either way thats a real bugger.

Cheers
Steve

It was the second new one...
Steve had to snatch me up the rest of the little steps. Luckily made the rest of the climbs out back to the road in 2WD without too much of a problem.

Did you snap only the drivers side c.v or both the c.v and axleshaft, as I did that last time I went to menai but I pushed while using the air lockers, by the way chris could you let me know what the rustys 2.5" springs were like when you had thinking of buying some myself want to know if they are soft onroad and if they are good all round.

Driver's side where the CV attaches to the axle...
Hey Steve, you know at Coffs when we didn't hear or feel a thing when it let go up there? Well, we didn't have that problem this time...! Sounded like a stick of dynamite going off. The diff guys are looking into a bad batch of heat forging from their supplier.

MRGC...did that PM from ausjeep not come through? The Rusty's set I liked both on and offroad. Little firmer than stock onroad but that's not a bad thing as they settled the body roll down quite abit. I liked 'em!

Hi folks, was going to do a quick report on the run but Chris's comments says it all.Considering there was only the two of us there, it all sort of ended better than it could have?? The next run will be on Saturday 17/06/06 at the usual time[3.00p.m.] See you on the road shortly Chris.
