Conditions apparently look good for snow around Lithgow on Saturday 13-7-19.

I know it’s short notice but is anyone interested?

Not sure yet, but the snow report covers a lot of area. Generally snow runs focus on Mt Bindo as it is the highest so most likely for snow. We might gather at something like 9:00am at Caltex in Mount Victoria. Stay posted. :encouragement:

In for a snow run.

How far out will we get a reasonably accurate forecast? Friday evening?

Cheers Martin.

An unexpected day really. Morning started with little prospect of snow so we adjusted the route big time to cut closer to the snow center of Oberon. Which meant heading from the blue mountains into Kanangra in a trip that turned to have a lot of similarity to Caves to Caves.

We found our white Christmas, not enough snow to call it true snow wheelin' but definite snow. Check out SJC on face book for some pics.

Interestingly it has given Kerry and me the enthusiasm to see a Caves to Caves trip run in early Summer. Will put something up shortly. :encouragement:

Thanks from Dru'n'Kerry to the group. A convoy of 5 with little notice is amazing. We've been doing plenty with Ben recently so it is a wheelin' pair that fits like hand in glove. And it was just fantastic to be joined by mates we haven't seen on the trails for a little bit. Wayne and July it's not the Simpson but it's still fun! Martin always great wheeling with. John - keep it going brother, Jeeping starts great and gets better.

It sure was a great trip, with beautiful scenery, and more importantly, awesome trail companions.

A nice easy and relaxing run.

Looking forward to the next run, and I am planning another C grade to be held in 3 to 4 weeks.

Cheers

Thank you everyone for sharing Christmas trees covered in snow near Oberon, for moderate descent and for creek crossing.
My appreciation for Kerry and Dru for spontaneous idea inspired by BoM severe weather warning, for navigation skills on the fly.
Cheers
