OK, no need to crap on the idea as you may find it hard not to. SFA is great but when you have IFS you tend to think outside the box a little & this may just be the holy grail that gives the KJ a step up woth having. The reason I'm posting here is a lot of SJC guy's & gal's have the best setup I've seen around & that sort of say's you know what your doing with lifts & the rest. Id really like to take my KJ up a notch but can't justify an SFA. This will only happen to my KJ when it's no longer the daily driver, so I'm not in a rush. My plan if it works out would be to get the kit sent over (once trail tested) & get a local to instal. This is a copy & paste of what the kit has in it + a pic:

What is in the Jeepin by Al 6" kit?

-Front strut kit

-Al?s A-arms New Gen 4

-2? sub frame for under K frame

-Steering knuckle extension

-Transfercase cross member shim plates

-Y link for on top or rear axel

-Long control arms on rear axel and use your factory sway bar

-Rear shocks and coil springs

-Steering rod extension

-Longer brake hoses

-Removing inner front wheel wells if using 33? tires

I am working on the installation manual and posting the parts on my web site this month!!

There is no need for the spring spacers, I have custom springs w/ factory ends on them to fit the factory spring pad.

Send me a e-mail at liftmykj6in@jeepinbyal.com for more info when it is available.

What I'm really after is what you think, good or bad but only on how it will work / perform offroad & to work & back or what you think could be done to improve what's there. It's all good to say get an XJ etc (and perhaps I will) but for now this is what I'm considring as I love the KJ.

This is the link to LOST KJ that has some of the info I've been looking at:

monsta KJ... hmmm, looks interesting, would def be waiting till you saw some tests completed in the states. The issues with big lifts like these is every car seems to be just that little be different, so you need someone how knows how to problem solve once the kit is installed when you inevitably run into that big issue you never imagined... Still, looks ok and would def be a statement for biggest KJ in OZ?

My thought's exactly, waiting to see how it play's out in the States is a must. I'm not going to spend the cash to find out that it needs more tweeking, and like you say probably best to have somone here up to scratch with how it works prior to gettting a kit sent out. As that person will have to install it they should be happy with how it works first.

Probably not the biggest KJ in OZ, remember NO1KJ in Meld (or not). It came to the Jambo last year in Bris, the steering pump failed or something like that when it got there. It's the only SFA KJ in Australia & looks great but no one's seen any trail shots, just some of it on the grass

The new laws on lifts and widths (can't even run with engineering certs) may put paid to this idea unless you can get it done before they come in!

DON'T MEAN TO BE A SPOIL SPORT BUT IT MAY END UP A TRAILER QUEEN!
