Coxes River / Mount Walker - D+ Grade - CANCELLED

Frist trip in 2020.



This trip covers much of the area out at Coxes River / Mount Waker.

Winding through the bush and even driving along the river itself, we can all enjoy this great land of ours.

This area was not affected by any of the bushfires, and was only opened up again last week.

Expect to finish mid afternoon.



When: Saturday 8 February 2020


Meet: Shell Servo + Coles Express, Cnr Magpie Hollow Road and Great Western Hwy, near Lithgow

Time: 9:00am for 9:30am



Grade: D+ - This trip is suited for all 4WD Jeeps, no modifications required, and suitable for beginner drivers.



Requirements: Stock Jeeps of all types.

All Terrain Tyres are a recommended (there is a possibility HWY oriented tyres could be damaged) . BYO first aid, food and water.

Recovery point on the rear recommended (2" hitch reciever is suitable) . If you have recovery gear bring it, otherwise the trip leader will step in if necessary.



UHF Radio to keep in touch with your trail buddies. Channel 15.



No limits of vehicle numbers.

Your WK2 is more than capable of handling this trip, however the stock tyres 'Might' receive some damage due to sharp rocks on the fire trails.

Did Fire truck Hill ,the creek crossings , Delta ridge and the climb to the trig at the weekend Ben.
Everything was clear, very little water in the Coxs river.
Lake Lyell is down about 3 metres.
The famous white 80 floating crossing from Fire truck hill , ankle deep.

Can't believe it. I met him for first time on my first trip with Sydney Jeep Club at Stockton Beach and he buddied up with me,looked after me. Made me feel welcome... RIP Ben. [emoji17]

Yer i just got the fone call a few hours ago about ben
Ben was a great mate of mine for almost 20 years now ,
He will be greatly missed by myself and our other mates that we share other offroad hobbies ( rc trail trucks ) with .

Dear members and visitors,

It is with great sadness that we are writing to announce the sudden passing of Ben Perfect, our dear Trip Coordinator.

He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday night.

Ben will truly be missed by us all at Sydney Jeep Club.


Unfortunately, this Saturday trip is now cancelled. We should hopefully run this trip later in the year.
