An old friend of mine in England spotted a Jeep recently and recognised the EUJ458 number plate. It was the one I had in 1964 and fitted the Triumph TR3 engine in from my written off car (see...
I think mine started out like that Hunno but it had been cut and welded at a different angle before I got it. Some others are fairly similar but not near enough and would have meant changing the...
Eventually managed to get my LH exhaust manifold fixed after the flange cracked off on the Watagans trip last month and no one willing to try re-welding it. It turned out to be a one off special...
Sorry guys, looks like I am out for this one. My left hand exhaust manifold is still split in 2 pieces and I'm having trouble either getting it welded or finding a replacement.
Ian W.
Well at least I know where the noise was coming from!
The problem is finding a replacement LH header or someone who can do a good job of welding relatively thin cast iron

Thanks Dru and Kerry for a great day out - great tracks and great scenery.
My cracked exhaust header held together for the trip home but it might take me a while to pull it apart and fix it. too...

PS 2019?
A chilly start to the morning at 100kph up the M2/M7 at 7:00am but turned out to be a great day!
Thanks for organising Di.
Ian W.
Put my name down Di.
Got to make sure there is at least one "Proper Jeep" there.
Cheers

Fantastic news Dru!
Here's wishing Kerry all the very best for her ongoing speedy recovery.

Hi Dru And Kerry.
A nice day out, nothing too strenuous but hot and dusty. And yes it did rain but only for about 10 minutes on the way home between the M4 an M7. Didn't need the waterproofs,...
I thought I would need air conditioning, now I need doors windows and a roof as well!
Ian W.
I am good to go now as well.

Dru, I'm overdue a trip out.
If all goes well I will be there.

The Flatfender has had an increasing squeak/rattle/vibration over the last few months which turned out to be a severely worn double cardan drive shaft. I installed the last one in 2010 at a cost of...
Thanks for the offer Steve, sounds good. I'll give you a ring nearer the time to discuss.
Cheers

It looks like I will have to pull out of Grease Monkey - I just noticed that I have a broken leaf in my front off-side spring pack. It is the 3'rd leaf from the top so it is still drive-able but I...
A great day out Steve, thanks for organising. That must be the first trip I have been on and managed to arrive home without even one spot of mud on the Flatfender. Not too much dust either, but...
Put me on the list please Steve.
Ian W
I will be there, but not camping
Cheers

I'm definitely in to "the top down"
