Default Mechanic needed for a service

Hello dudes,
The warranty has expired as my Jeep is just over 3 years old. I need a mechanic to do a service on my machine, but I don't trust anyone at the moment - thinking of doing it my self.
The dealership I was using was pretty horrid and I don't want to get burnt again.
I need help as I don't have a lot of disposable income.
Does anyone know anywhere cheap I can go?
TK.

Your profile says you're at North Parramatta so I'd have to say Mick Collins at ARB Wentworthville (355 Great Western Highway Wentworthville) is the best guy, might not fit in the budget though and basic oil changes etc are easy enough to do yourself.

Cheers

Default Thanks for the tip.

I'll give them a call and arrange something.
I work in Lidcombe - is there anyone around here that I may take my car to?

Otherwise, Perfect.

There is an Ultratune service facility in Lidcombe, it is next to Bunnings and Repco in the same complex (north side of Parramatta Road).

As Steve said give Mick Collins a call he's the Guru of Jeeps.

I use my local Midas guys - okay they are the Concord store on Parramatta Road, but they found and fixed things that P'matta Jeep kept telling me didn't exist. They have also had a few Jeeps go through since Burwood Wagon Wheels shut. My suggestion is check out your local Midas.

I know a good guy who knows a little about Jeeps (he's worked on mine enough!) and he's over in Lakemba...Call Mick first and if he's got too much on give me a shout and I 'll get you his details...
It is not he who gives abuse that affronts, but the view that we take of it as insulting; so that when one provokes you it is your own opinion which is provoking.

–Epictetus

Last time I spoke to Mick he wasn't doing service work, only ARB product installations.
I use Daking Automotive in North Parramatta for most of my service work on my XJ, Paul and John know my Jeep well. They are great on the general mechanical stuff, and for any of the specialised suspension parts etc, I just supply parts from Wooders and they sort it. Probably slightly better labour rates than some of the other places as well, give 'em a call and tell them Geoff sent you... they they just so love working on my nice clean Jeep! hehe But seriously they are good guys
