Smile Q re parts buying - which year do I go for?

    Hi all,

Quick question - I've a Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd manufactured in '96, which on my rego papers says it's a '97 model. (It's a ZG model.)

So, do I buy parts for a '96 vehicle or a '97 vehicle?? Pretty confused!!!

    Any advice would be helpful!
    Thanks,
    V

ZG (or as known in the USA as a ZJ) Changed somewhat in 96, exactly when I'm not sure. So far the only things that I have found have been the electronics all other parts have been interchangable.
    98 ZJ Grand Cherokee(Lightly Modded), 84 CJ8, 74 CJ6,
Lord Help me I'm in to Jeep!!!!

    Hi V,
Your individual parts are usually numbered/coded, so match your new part numbers to the one removed. Jeep dealers will normally ask for your Vin. No. from your rego papers to match up spare parts needed.................
