There are too many of these type of things happening. But this is certainly not like Chris' recovery at Jambo, where you had experienced people but a rated recovery point mount fail. Have to wonder how much experience these people have had. IMHO that ute was on the wrong angle to snatch out of that situation easily (the Toyota was just pulling it down into that erosion mound or step). The Toyota (not bar equipped) might have been using his tie down point to recover. It actually almost came out the first time they tried but the recovering vehicle stopped too soon. I think people get lazy. A few minutes working on that mound/dirt step with a shovel would have made it easy. And of course the Ute's tyres were questionable as well, and there was no dampener on the strap, etc, etc.
