Thread: Engineering Certification - who to see?

  1. #1

Default Engineering Certification - who to see?

As my lift is well over 50mm I am thinking of getting the engineering done to avoid any VSI-50 problems in the future.

I managed to locate the RTA Engineering Signatory list on their website (seems to be getting harder and harder to find this list). Here is the link to the list:

    http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registrati...march_2010.pdf

I have emailed three of these guys in Sydney so we'll see what response I get.

    Cheers
    Glen

I haven't spoken to him in about 6 months, so I assume he is still around.
He is about $800 + your weighbridge slip, which vary abit in price.

Not alot, waiting till I get some more bar work and a winch....maybe long arms and 35's ( I don't think he will engineer this but)
    See how I go.

    Cheers

long arms should be engineerable, AJ has done it.... the 35's are a maybe, but from what what ive been told 35's can be engineered so long as you stay within the track width limits....

bar work and a winch shouldnt affect your engineers cert so long as your bar is adr approved (arb or tjm)

sorry to hijack your thread glend.

What are you looking at getting engineered?

315/75 + ARB lift + spacer = 5" total lift (lift +tyres) or 4.25 total lift (without spacer) on 16x8 with 5" Backspace. Alex mentioned Roger didnt like too much offset, but if Hunty has had 4.5" BSM passed by another signatory that means Hunty's JK has 25mm+ more track width than mine will.
