    Default ZJ ratio changes

    Hey guys,

about to change diff ratio's on ZJ..... (like tomorrow arvo ) and wondering about peoples opinions on what they've done. looking at 4.56 and its seems a good conversion for 33 inch tyres but am considering if i could/should go to 4.88 the only concern i have with 4.88 is that highway miles might fly out the window. i know a few of you have 4.56 with varying tyre sizes and was looking for some opinions on if your happy or would you want to go to 4.88

    Cheers for help again guys

4.88 might be a bit deep with 33's, I found 4.56 and 32's was pretty painful on the hwy as I had to drive it all the time, take you foot off the accelerator to coast and it would slow down. With cruise control it would be better I guess. The 4.56's with 35's works great on the XJ and is a good compromise, a little deeper than the 3.55's on stock tyres. I'd say 4.56 for 33's on the ZJ as it's geared a little deeper than the XJ stock anyway so should work well.

    Cheers

Start playing around with some numbers until you get an end result you are happy with.
