Default how to remove spline end of broken axle? (w/locker)

    Hi guys,

49 days later and i finally have the new rear axles to replace my snapped one, my JK has spent 2 months next to the house as a big green garden gnome since it broke.

question is how do i get the broken bit out of the diff, with a locker in there?!?!?

i tried a tent pole last night, with the prong end going around the centre of the diff and didn't budge - might need a longer piece (or harder hit)

    any other ideas/suggestions?

    Thanks so much

    cheers
    Adrian

I use a big Allen key to pop them out - it's worth pulling the locker out to check for damage, this is what mine looked like after my axle snapped

got it, I used a long piece of stainless steel rod to get around the spider gear and push the broken end out.

Miraz - don't you need the special diff spreader tool to remove the locker & crown wheel ? have you made one up?

    thanks

Don't need any special tool - just tap the housing gently with a hammer and it should fall free
