    Default Diff help.

    Hi Jeepers,

Does anyone know any good places (price wise and service wise) that can fix/check out my rear diff?

    It's for a 96 XJ.

Getting some whining in the rear and after looking up AJOR forums, it may be the pinion bearing but I'd prefer a diff specialist to check it out just to be sure.
Already getting new rubbers and new wheel bearings put in.

Try J-Mac Diff & Gear - John McDonald,
    2/51 Holbeche Road,
Arndell Park 2148 (Blacktown, just off M4),
    9671-5800.
Know's his work well, does it well, will quote for job and will point out any faults pending (if any). Can supply own parts if cheaper to do so........ Builds a few of the 4x4 Masters rig's......... Travel will be your down side...... Stephen........... Other's may point you somewhere closer to home...............

Coming off the M4 is ok, it's the operating hours I have to worry about.

    Thanks Steve.

Thanks for the suggestions gents. At this point (budget wise) i'm going to swap the diffs from the rear ended 95xj. It still works with no noise coming from it.

Will be working on getting the diff done,
snorkel, sliders, rubbers and service on the same day.

If anyone would like to come and help or after some odd spare parts from a 95 xj the offer is open

Having a small bbq that day with some drinks while working. no rush.

Oh and it's on the 19th before the 20th coxs bbq day.
In homebush. Will post details closer to date.

    Ok gents. Details below.

    G & S Automotive.
    Unit 1
    22-24 Richmond Rd,
    Homebush.

Starting around 8-9am on the 19th.

Going to start with the Diff and rubbers for the rear. Then sliders and snorkel if time is plenty.
Rachel from the shitbox rally run for the cancer foundation will be there for a donated tow bar and bull bar coming from my wrecked xj.
Feel free to donate to their xj if anyone is willing.
Any other parts from my 95 XJ is basically free if anyone needs it before the whole thing goes to the scrap heap.
Also having a small bbq at around 11am with beers if anyone wants to join in.

What ever help I can get is much appreciated.
    Tim Tam.
