Default Need help installing AEV control arm drop brackets on JK wrangler....

    Hi Guys,

As said above I am trying to install AEV drop brackets on my JK. Right hand upper control arm bolt is fowling when with the exhaustI try to get it out.... Any special tricks.... The install instructions say pry the exhaust out of the way.... Can the guys who have removed the upper control arm to install new ones tell me how they managed to remove the upper control arm on the driver side.....

THanks a lot in advance for ur help.....

Just an update... Went for some shopping and wow what a feeling... The bumps in the road have mellowed down a lot.... No more harshness on bumps.... So, she passed the mall crawling test with flying colours..... Now for the offroad test on saturday.... Lets see how it goes..... Probably wouldnt be a complete replacement for the adjustable control arms but if u r on a tight budget these things are a good buy.....

Sorry Jose forgot to take some pics ... It was pretty streight forward once u get around the RH upper control arm bolt..... No special tools required... and done with all 4 wheels on the ground..... Only u have to undo the exhaust from the header on driver side and to get there u have to take the wheel off..... About 4 Hrs work all up.... Just when prying the exhaust make sure u have glasses on to save ur eyes from the falling baked mud from the exhaust.......

    Hi Dave

Got them from Quadratec... Au $197 delivered.

    Hi Rey

The lowest point on the brackets hangs 2.25 Inches below the lowest point on the original mount. Will be tested tomorrow how much it interferes with the type of 4wding I do.....
