Hey, nice job with the site you guys have set up.

My brother owns a 1983 Jeep Cherokee as seen in the picture below.

And I was wondering does anyone have any suggestions on raising this model jeep? I've looked at http://www.suburban4wd.com/component...s_mainpage.htm and am wondering on people's thoughts on blocks and shims and whether this places prices are expensive.

Any other suggestions and links are welcome. Thanks alot, Ben.

Suburban are one of our primary sponsors and I highly recommend them in the same way I recommend all our sponsors.

However Suburban is unlikely to have parts of a FSJ in stock but can order parts on request

Even in the US lift kist for the FSJ are limited but they do exist

Try talking to Mascot motors in Nowra, USA 4x4 in melb and Hammonds in Qld as these 3 places have more to do with older Jeeps

Call Suburban and see what they can source for you along with Wooders Garage

Thanks heaps for the help and replies. I haven't tried any of the places you suggested but I will get around to it. I've look around the internet and found a few places in the US that sell raise kits, but I'm not to sure on shipping and money handling.

I think it would be best to get new leaf springs rather than blocks or spaces, so I've been looking for them.

    Thanks.

    I know a J20 that's getting a 4" lift soon
IMHO get springs designed for the desired height - not block, shackles etc...

    BTW NICE looking FSJ :!:

    BJ's - nope....Based on feedback on another kit we've supplied for a J20, we've going Rusty's....Infact we've done a few bits from them already

Do you import kits from Rustys in the US??

I found a kit that looks pretty good on their site (http://rustysoffroad.com/Merchant2/m...ode=sus_fs_kit).

    Comes with -

    ? 2 - 3.5-4" 4 leaf Front Springs
    ? 2 - 3.5-4" 6 leaf Rear Springs
    ? 8 - Grade 8 U-Bolts & Brake line Extenders & bracket
    ? 4 - Rusty's Hydro Shocks
