I am seeking some information concerning a '42 Willys that I have just purchased. It was registered in South Australia up until 1998 and had been owned by the seller for over 20 years.
The car is converted to right hand drive and has a 'grey' Holden motor fitted. It is a very professional conversion and discussions with Marathon, Tamworth suggest that this was not uncommon in the 1950-60's era, possibly carried as an option to register as as right hand drive vehicle. Can anyone help me as to a possible conversion source?
I will look at converting it back after I have located an engine and see what is needed for steering however the car is in excellent original condition, very straight and the only rust apparent was in the fuel tank tub which has now been replaced. If anyone can help me with evidence of RTA acceptance of this conversion it would help, I live on the far south coast of NSW and about 350kms from the closest engineer if I have to go down the engineer certificate path
