Done a few more little things, one very minor thing was to replace the stock radio antennae with a rubber shorty one, the stock one was tapping on the top of the snorkel at freeway speeds and in the wind and it was driving me nuts. I probably could have put some tape on it or a rubber sleeve but I decided to just replace it altogether. Amazing the difference a lack of "tap...tap.tap.......tap" makes to the driving experience Also hoping to get the lift in tomorrow

That's odd. I only get tapping when a branch connects with it and flicks it

You removed the low car park warning sensor!

Similar to Wally I've never had any issue with mine hitting the snorkel other than when something else hits it.

Probably the brand of snorkel then. The jk is low compared to the xj and know all to well what carparks I'll fit in

Bought a bike rack and picked this modular one. Looks like the welder will come out to make an additional top for it

A nice esky rack for easy trips out for the day The below gives a bit of an idea.

Added the Daystar dash top today as I wanted somewhere to mount the tablet/gps but I don't like windscreen mounts and wanted it to be easily removed.

Then I covered the upright with velcro, looks like carpet

A couple of pieces on the back of my tablet, which normally lives in a case so not noticeable when out of the Jeep, and I have a nice solid mount but easily removed.

I'll hardwire a USB plug in to the jeep and have it more discrete so it doesn't run up the front of the dash.

Works well with 'Torque' as well.

1.5 hours from getting the tools out and having them packed away again Nice to have stock springs that pretty much fall out once the swaybar links and shocks are unbolted from the axle

    From this

    to this

Finally have a temp gauge sorted for the transmission It's one gauge I always wanted on the XJ but could never be bothered putting a physical gauge in.
