Default Clutch high biting point problem

    Hi everyone,

I got a Wrangler JK 2011 Manual with 23K mileage. My clutch has a very high biting point and it is getting worse, to the point it seems to almost level out.

Does it mean that the clutch is going or is it some other problem? Has anyone had similar problem?

Does anyone know roughly how much it would cost to get the clutch replaced and a recommendation of where I can get it done, preferably north shore?

    Regards,
    Sean & Daphne

    Sean,

The high biting point and "getting worse" indicates clutch wear. The mileage is very low but if the clutch is not aligned right then it will wear in a short time (the same applies if the driver likes to "ride" the clutch).
I don't know any north-shore clutch shops but try to find any clutch workshop that is close to you and at least ask for an opinion. You can buy parts on ebay but if you're not 100% sure what to buy then you'd be better off with the clutch supplied by the workshop.

    Thanks Dushan.

Will start looking around for quotes. Hopefully it won't break the bank.
