    Default Watagans C+ 26th November

Similar route to the C grade trips in October, but this time looking for some challenge and hopefully a bit of technical driving. We are not particularly chasing scenic views or pretty glens - the focus is on interesting driving.

    Where: Watagans

    When:
    Saturday 26th November 2016

    Meet:
M1 Motorway services travelling North, just past Wyong. On Google it's called F3 Wyong North-bound (Twin Servos). Servo is a Caltex. There is a Macca's and a healthy fast food as well.

    Time:
8:00 am for 8:30 departure. Please be fueled and fed.

    Grade:
    C+

Some risk of damage - slight (nothing guaranteed though). Overgrown tracks - probably not a trip for polished "mall crawlers". One or two (proper) bogs unavoidable - it is the Watagans afterall. Possible need for a snatch in the bog at CPT80 (the exit is steep and slippery). Some limited rock crawling.

    Tracks may include:
    x CPT80
x Sawpit (not the end blocked by B+ bog)
    x Greens Break Rd
    x Creek Road
    x "Borneo" (Athens+Junction point)

As usual we can try to forward track plots if you have HEMA explorer.

Requirements: Radio, food/drink of choice, camera. Full fuel tank. Recovery points front and rear. Recovery kit: snatch strap, rated shackles, dampener. First Aid. Sun cream. Sense of fun and adventure!

Recommended but not required: Protection, lift, side rails, larger All Terrain or Mud tyres. To be fair Kerry and I did a lot of C+ when the Rubi was stock - so stock should be fine but the mods do give comfort. Think about it though in your brand new Grand Cherokee.
EDIT: Creek Road does need a little clearance. It's generally hard dirt under the diffs so scull dragging could be tried if you are happy about it. Otherwise lower clearance vehicles will be diverted to meet us up ahead.

Winch and related kit: Not required.

This run is limited to: 10 - including lead vehicle. A couple of experienced club members would be appreciated!
