My 2012 JK does this ever since Jeep replaced a faulty sensor within first six months of ownership. I've accepted this but still notice every time the temp climbs. Basically just wait for the fans to kick in and watch it go down.

So far the jeep went back for the recalls and I asked them to have a look at the heating issue. The came back and said that its not normal and they found some rubbing on the thermostat. They will replace it in the next few weeks. So hope it solves the problem. Will keep you updated.
