    Default Yalwal 6 Stage

A couple of weeks ago a few members from here together with a few other non Jeepers took our rigs up 6 Stage in Yalwal. For those who don't know 6 Stage is a very difficult and unrelenting A grade track, some would put it at A+. There was some pretty solid rigs that had a crack at it and a pretty solid repair bill also for some, but everybody got to the top in the end. We had 5 x TJ's, 2 x JKU's plus a few others

The list of attendee was as follows

    Jose - Dieselcon - TJ 4.5" lift, 35's black/yellow
    Rod - Rocket55 - TJ 4.5" lift, long arms, 35's silver
    Roop - Rupicon - TJ 4.5" lift, 35's black/tan
Steve - (can't remember your forum name) TJ 4.5" lift, 35's red
Dave - TJ 4.5" lift, long arms, 35's dark green
Michael - JKU 3" lift, 34's, black with tube doors
Wiz- JKU 4.5" lift, 37's black

    Non jeeps included

Mid wheel base long arm GQ Patrol - Grey (yep, mid wheel base)
GU Patrol 8" lift, 40's (yep, 40" tyres) - White
    GU Patrol 4-5" lift, 37's - Blue/silver
    80 Series Cruiser 4" lift, 37's - Red
Stretch Suzuki on 33's - Yellow
    Hilux, massive lift, 37's - Camo/green
Hilux full blown comp truck - Yellow

Got to the first obstacle and collectively people went "thats not a road...." and it only got worse from there HaHaha.

We all had a ball, it was a long day and I believe one of the biggest groups to take on 6 stage. There was lots of experience around on site from both drivers and passengers, with a few comp truck navi's taging along to lend a hand. We finished up in the dark, so a true experience, running stages 5 and 6 in the dark!!

There's a couple of videos floating around on Youtube but heres a couple of teasers.

Harry Temple from All Terrain Images was also there to capture the event and there are some cracking pics getting around,

Here's part 2. 6 Stage is definitely suited to the smaller bodied rigs.

    Thanks for sharing, Rod.

Maybe it was creative editing, but the contrast between Jose's video and the latter two really does make it look like the shorter rigs had the advantage!

Hi Nick, as always some bits suit the shorties and some don't, although the whole track suited the narrower Jeeps. The full bodied rigs copped a bit of a hiding.
