    Default Milky's FSJ "Grand Canyonero"

After deciding that owning a modern JK Wrangler wasn't sufficiently emptying my pockets I have taken the plunge on a 2-owner 1985 SJ Cherokee with 360ci V8 and 3sp Torqueflite approx. 120,000kms on the clock.
Bought via Ausjeep seller in Melbourne and trucked up to Sydney after having a mate inspect it for me seemed risky at first, but was pleasantly surprised on arrival with the full service history, close to original condition, and a 120L aux tank.
The plan is to keep it as close to original as possible with some rust/paint repairs, regas the AC with Hychill minus 30 (R12 replacement gas), etc.

So far it has been treated to fresh battery leads, speakers (keeping original tape deck), H4 headlight relays & globes for max brightness, and most recently F&R diff oil.

Also you might notice it's running conditional plates which are issued under the Classic Vehicle Scheme, something most Service NSW staff weren't aware of...

Was surprised the car ran OK with the busted old battery leads...

I'm trying to stick with the if it isn't broken, don't fix it mantra but you never know it could get a 2in lift and 31in tyres one day!
Front recovery points would be ideal, although would require modding the cow catcher.

Adding some spotlights might be the go as I haven't been able to find the switch for hi-beam or wires for the old-school foot operated flasher switch.
Might need to trace the wires back from the headlights and see if I can find them under the dash somewhere...

Thanks mate, I must say it's a very comfy cruiser like a lounge room on wheels.
