    Conditions update

No fire activity but5 there is a total fire ban.
No parks closure, there are fox baits out, no pets.

Possible light shower or storm - suggest you include wet weather gear.

    Hi Dru,

Would the track be suitable for my WK2? We (me and Diana) might be able to join in but still need to confirm

Yes WK2 is fine. Caveat emptor (you make your own call on things) but this trip is intended to be on the easier side of things and is intended for Jeeps like WK2.

Note that we haven't done this trail for quite a while and we may well extend onto tracks we haven't actually done - but those are based on trail books such as "4WD trecks close to Sydney" where the trails are noted as "easy". And that usually means D/C grade.

Mini mini is C grade (the guide books call this "medium"), so you'll need a bit of low range but it's all on the easier end of things.

Obviously there are no guarantees as conditions can change but yes C grade means suitable for WK2.

I thought I would need air conditioning, now I need doors windows and a roof as well!

So far the morning looks clear, but rain seems more likely than not. Sorry about that Ian!

    Hi Dru And Kerry.

A nice day out, nothing too strenuous but hot and dusty. And yes it did rain but only for about 10 minutes on the way home between the M4 an M7. Didn't need the waterproofs, the bikini top or even the wipers.
    Thanks for organizing.

Special thanks to Dru and Kerry for organizing such a fabulous trip.

My missus still talking about how good is Ian's WWII jeep today!
