    Hi Nolan

Yes, a UHF radio is a must.

I started out with a 5w handheld and then went to a vehicle mounted UHF, which has better range.

Once a convoy spreads out a bit a handheld doesn't have the range to reach front to back for example.

I still bring the handheld with me as it is good to give spotting advice with, or to climb up a hill to get range in an emergency.

Go for the 5w version over the 2w.

    Cheers
    Ben.

Thanks for a super day Jared, and for offering to run the trip. Stockton is always fun. It was also awesome to hang out with new and old jeeping friends. We stayed the weekend in Nelson Bay and returned to the beach today for more dune fun!
    Thanks

    Jared

    Well done!!!!

I had a great time despite the Grand issues my Jeep was having.

I managed to get home on Limp mode, with no boost.

Have 're fixed' the Turbo Actuator, but time will tell if 'fixed' is 'FIXED' LOL.

    Merry Christmas All.

    Ben.
