Default New to Australia - Just moved here from California

Hey,

Just wanted to say hello, just moved to Caringbah, from the States - great web site!

I could use any advice on shipping and importing a Jeep- cost, what's required for registration etc... although I am interested in picking up an older jeep for a project...

Our Jeep is a 1976 CJ-7 with a few mods... I built it all myself, including all running gear, the paint, body work and spray in bed liner for the interior.

But the Jeep is in storage back in the states

Frame: Matkins Extreme Off Road, with shackel reversal
Engine: 304 V8 Edelbrock intake manifold & Carb, Headers, Mallory unilite Distributor
Painless wiring harness, braided stainless brake lines
T-150 3 speed, and Dana 20, Full Detroit Locker in the rear
Tom Woods double CV drive shaft
New interior out of the Bestop catalog
Everything new or rebuilt about 5 years ago

Awesome Fun in the So Cal Desert!

We will be here for a couple years and are looking forward to some Jeep fun Aussie style!

Welcome to Aus dude!

Awesome pics, wish we had something like that close to home out here!!!

Ask a few questions on www.ausjeepoffroad.com aswell. Alot of knowledgable guys there, some that may work in international freight too!

Once it's over here you should join this club and come offroad with us!

Cheers!

PM a guy on here as well as on www.ausjeepoffroad by the name of Wooders...he might be able to help you out getting the HEEP over here...

And from one Yank to another..."WELCOME!" :P
It is not he who gives abuse that affronts, but the view that we take of it as insulting; so that when one provokes you it is your own opinion which is provoking.

–Epictetus
