Mate did u had to modify the snokel to fit with the rugged ridge light bar
I just bought a 4 channel remote switch from Ebay (China)
pretty cool piece of kit for $13.00
2 remote fobs with 4 buttons ea
1 Master control unit
The Master control unit contains 4 relays NC, NO & C
It can be programmed as momentary, self lock, and latch
I programmed mine = 1 push on - 1 push off. I think that is latch mode?
I used channel 1 for my Jeep rear storage area - where the seats used to be
Channel 2 draws light
Channel 3 Roof top tent
Channel 4 lighting under my roll out awning
I also upgraded my 1500w / 3000w inverter to a 2500w / 5000w and my second batteryfrom 40amps to 105amps, i added a charger so I can top up at caravan parks etc and a volt meter to keep an eye on the state of charge etc.
Lastly I added some really bright led lights , I still need to paint them black
but WoW they are super bright!

WOW, at full load a 5000W inverter will draw about (divide the wattage by 10 to get the max current draw on a 12v system) 500AMP!! That 50AMP circuit breaker will deal with around 500W (or is it a 150A circuit breaker and if so 1500W)

Maaaaaaaaaaaaate
The breaker is 150amp - the 1 is hidden in the pic LoL
the inverter is 2500w continuous and 5000w peak
2500w divide by 13.8 = 181 amps X efficiency 90% = 200A
I only intend to use a cappuccino machine = 1260w, microwave = 800w, sandwich toaster = 1200w so really the max amount of load I intend to place on it is the Coffee Machine 1260w divide 13.8 = 91a X efficiency = 101Amps - so I figure my 150a breaker will be fine - in fact I more than figure LoL I was testing it early today with the microwave and the Delonghi. and it all works fine.
I need to keep the mrs happy on tour and she will continue to be my seat cover / navigina - I would'nt have it any other way! LoL - I know I am very lucky to have her come on all the runs with me! and so I will continue to look for ways to make camping more pleasurable!
+ I am fully prepared to upgrade the breaker to 200A if need be LoL
Cheers Hunty
ps - I have a button on my wired Switches that connects my alternator and under bonnet battery to the inverter - sweet so I really have access to hundreds more amps -oh yeah!

If I bring my own coffee can I use the coffee machine?
98 ZJ Grand Cherokee(Lightly Modded), 84 CJ8, 74 CJ6,
Lord Help me I'm in to Jeep!!!!
Yep, I simplified the conversion a bit with divide by 10 but it kinda works out as it assumes the engine isn't running and the battery is closer to 12.8 than 13.8and maybe not as efficient as 90%. Either way if you dont draw 2500W then it's not an issue. Was more curious what you had that needed a startup load of 5000W and running load close to 2500W, thought maybe the roof top tent had aircon

Maaaaaaaaate - what a crack up LoL - did you see my edit - I fully intend to run my Jeep with the idle set to 2000rpm - this gives me a 160 amp alternator and a 500cca battery into the mix - I ran seriously heavy cable as well so I should be OK - what r your thoughts now?
Luv My Jeep!
I dont think you'll have an issue (Not with a 4.0lt petrol generator running it all), but if you manage to sink it in a creek and I recover it I want salvage rights with all that copper
. Mine is running off two batteries linked for 1200CCA but then I'm only planning on using it to charge the laptop (whilst on the move) so its 600W (1200W peak) and will just run through a 30A socket as there's no plan to add any bigger load, when we get back I'll hardwire it in (with cable suitable for the load) with a push button on the dash to turn it on and off via a relay.
Cheers
